John 3:16

Jesus Christ Is Lord!

Jesus told us we would live in perilous times, and I believe He was talking about this present day in which we live. Satan's greatest tool is deception. He uses this tool to divide and confuse and he seems to be winning, but I can assure you, he WILL NOT win.

We live in a time when denominationalism is not seen as a division, but it certainly is. The Bride of Christ should never be divided.

At Ridgeview Baptist Church, we accept a meeting that took place in 1900 when different denominations met. They were called "fundamentalist." The purpose of that meeting was to establish a belief that would not divide us by denominations but unite us. And here is the results of that meeting:

They said, "if you believe these 5 fundamentals of the faith, you are one of us regardless of your denominational tag."

1. Jesus is God - Romans 9:5 " of whom are the fathers, and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen."
1 Timothy 3:16 " And beyond controversy, great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."

2. Jesus is Virgin born - Isaiah 7:14 "Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign: Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel."
Matthew 1:23 "23 “Behold, a virgin shall be with child and shall bring forth a Son, and they shall call His name "Emmanuel” (which being interpreted is, “God with us”)."

3. Jesus died for our sins - 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 "For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received: how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, (4) and that He was buried, and that He arose again the third day according to the Scriptures."
Revelation 1:5 "and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first-begotten of the dead, and the prince over the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood..."

4. Jesus rose from the dead - Romans 1:4 "and was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness by the resurrection from the dead..."

5. Jesus is coming again - 1 Corinthians 15:52 "... in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."

This is our solemn belief at Ridgeview Baptist Church.

We are blessed that our church is made up of people who come from different denominational backgrounds. The purpose of our church is to make sure that we extend a hand of welcome and fellowship because the pillar of our church is Jesus Christ. That's who we worship. There is no other way to Heaven but through Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:8 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; that not of yourselves: it is a gift of God. 9-Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10-For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."

Jesus told Thomas in John 13:6 "Jesus said unto him, " I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one come to the Father but by Me." This applies to us also.

May God richly bless you!
